its cool. there are several different cutting attachments that it comes with and it works really well once you figure out what goes with what. the instructions are not too helpful but its not difficult to figure out

I bought this for my wife and she was at first skeptical. Although she is not very adept at slicing and dicing she was concerned this would actually take more time to use when you include the clean-up.Well she was soon won over. Cucumber, carrot and celery shot through this slicer effortlessly in exactly the size she prefers for our salads. It came apart effortlessly and cleaning was quick and easy. She loves it!The fact it is cordless is a major plus and the motor is very powerful, not bogging down or struggling in the least when slicing. Although we have not tried cheese, other reviews state it handles that just as well. This is a good product.

A wonderful little kitchen helper! This battery operated salad shooter features a USB-C charging port, so no worries about losing the cable or the charger. It has two buttons so you can easily hold it with the vegetables coming out horizontally or falling down into the bowl.The clear chute attaches to the motor body simply by twisting; and then you insert and turn the slicing drum of your choice. It comes with four, thin and thick slices, and thin and thick shreds.The only disappointment is the storage unit for the cutting drums, which with my best efforts seems to be just too small to fit three of them (assuming one is attached to the unit). A bummer, because these blades are sharp! It's probably best to use a tall glass or an empty tube of Pringles, but it would be nice if all the spare accessories could fit in the provided storage case!Other than that, this thing is a joy to use! It does a great job with a minimum of fuss, easy to clean under the tap... Great gadget.

Of course, I tried cheese first. It worked great, especially once I understood the light touch needed for the pusher: if you force it, it distorts the cheese and will present the red light...relax and try again and it will grate it just right.Placing the cheese in the freezer for a little while – not to freeze but to chill, made all the difference and it gave me just what I wanted. I ‘shot’ it into a pint container and now I have grated cheese with no additives ready to go! Softer cheese like Jack does grate better firmed in the freezer whereas a dense aged cheese may not need that.I had a time of it the first time I tried to disengage the blade and chute from the body. But once I found the amount of force needed to separate them all was well. Placing the entire unit on its side on the counter worked best for me. Make sure you are rotating it toward the open space.Changing the blades is very easy. I received four blades but two are the same, I did not receive the one for shaving ice so I can’t attest to that working, so two slicers and two of the same grater. Easy to clean, a quick rinse and you are ready for the next. The unit has a little foot so it will stand up on the counter between uses and is compact enough to fit in a drawer.The chute is small for a full-size cucumber, I had trouble finding one that would fit without cutting it in half or quarters which is fine unless you want rounds. I did find a zucchini that was just right and it sliced it perfectly. I cut a red onion to fit and it also made short work of the onion. The produce doesn’t fling all over the place, either.This is a safe way to quickly process small amounts without the danger of hurting yourself (I am a bit clumsy with a knife). Easy to charge and having a wireless Salad Shooter is the best!*Removed one star because of the missing ice blade, otherwise it is 5 stars in every way from design, to usability, to performance.
