Bellrobot Mabot is a robot kit for children from 6 years. The set contains various components with which you can create your own robot design. Build bots that look like people or drive like cars. Program your creations on your tablet using an intuitive, block-based programming language. Bring your robot to life with the app and play fun, interactive games with it.
Building a robot with the starter set is child's play
The starter set contains a total of 30 parts. You can use most of them to create robots to your heart's content. The components can be divided into two categories. On the one hand, there are the spherical elements. The little balls are the heart and brain of your Mabot. Namely, they are equipped with many different functions. For example, there is the Drive Ball, which drives the robot. Or the Connection Ball, which not only connects several balls with one another, but can also move. The functions are modeled on human organs. For example, the infrared sensor represents the eyes of the robot.
Anything that is not spherical also has no function. These include the gray connecting parts or the small wrench for loosening or tightening the connections. The Lego adapter deserves a special mention. You can use it to creatively expand your robots with Lego bricks and create completely new creations.
Bellrobot Mabot combines fun and safety when building and playing
When designing Bellrobot Mabot, we didn't just think about great functions and fun games. Gambling safety was also an important aspect during development. So it is no coincidence that the main ingredients are spherical. This means that they do not have any sharp corners or edges. It also enables children to grasp the parts safely and easily, even if their hands are small. Mabot continues to support Plug & Play. This means you can easily add or remove parts when the device is on.
Control your robot with the preconfigured app or program it yourself
If you have a tablet, you can use the Mabot Go app to control, manage and program your Mabot. In the app you will find 10 basic configurations with which you can control Mabot. So you can start right away and don't have to worry about anything else. However, if you want to delve deeper into the matter, that's no problem either. You can always create your own configurations and let your robot do what you want.
You can even program Mabot yourself. The Mabot DIE development environment for your tablet is available for this. Here you can create your own programs with the block-based graphic programming language Scratch. The commands are in the form of different colored blocks. Each block lets Mabot do a different job. Just drag several blocks in a row and your robot will execute them one by one. So you can easily and intuitively get to know the basics of programming even without prior knowledge.
